Doug Brooks is an actor, filmmaker, teacher, botanist, artist, builder, and father of two. In a varied career he's worked as a botanist in the mountains of the Tasman region, for the Ministry of Fisheries, the New Zealand Fire Service and the BBC in Edinburgh. He taught high school science and drama and has written, directed, acted in, and shot ads for companies such as Gillette and Duracell through his company Brooklight Creative. You can see him in the Four Square ads and act in his first feature film role, the upcoming Bowie, to be released 2015. He likes to make cider and tramp the hills of his hometown, Nelson.
